• 2 days (16 hours)

• Recommended for outdoor activity instructors/coaches

• Accredited Ofqual certificate

 

A range of subjects covered including:

• Roles and responsibilities of a first aider in an outdoor environment

• CPR

• Recovery position

• Choking

• Bleeding

• Shock

• Burns

• Poisons, bites and stings

• Suspected major illness

• Effects of heat and cold

 

Learners are assessed through practical observation and a multiple-choice question paper
